To bring someone into a House of God with open arms and have them betray your acceptance with hate and violence is inaccusable. But through love and prayer, we hope that you find comfort knowing that the lives lost are now with God.

Sikh Community Triumphs, Saves DC Gurdwara
Inaugural celebrations, Sikh Gurdwara DC re-opens.
Inaugural Celebrations for Sikh Gurdwara, DC will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at 3801 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20016.
Dr. Inderjit Kaur, the President of The Pingalwara Charitable Society will be the keynote speaker for the occasion. Several prominent local government officials and leaders of interfaith houses will be congregating at the Sikh Gurdwara to celebrate the occasion with the Sikh community of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.

DC Sikhs Ask for Representation at Akal Takhat

The Washington sangat is seeking representation of the diaspora Panth at the Akal Takhat.
“We Sikhs living abroad don’t feel very well represented there,” said Harpreet Kaur Chadha, spokeswoman for the recently re-opened Sikh Gurdwara, DC. “We would want Sikhs from abroad, all over the world, to have representation in whatever (body) is leading the Panth.”
